Vocational Assessments
Plan Senior School and next steps after Year 12
The average working adult will spend around 80,000 hours at work over their lifetime! How we feel about our work makes a huge difference to our overall well-being and satisfaction in life - yet, only 55% of Aussies say they're happy with their jobs.
It's no wonder then, that choosing subjects for senior school and submitting preferences for tertiary education and training can be daunting, especially when students feel unsure about what career path is right for them. Vocational assessments help students and their families navigate the uncertainty by exploring the plethora of options in a systematic way, based on the student's aptitude, personality, and interests.
Using a combination of psychometric assessments and 1:1 sessions, you will be encouraged to reflect on your likes and dislikes, what motivates you, and how you want your lifestyle to look in the future. You will receive a report detailing your results on each assessment, and a summary of our discussions, with a few recommendations at the end to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Whether you're a Year 10-12 student, or looking to change your career, a Vocational Assessment can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
“Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
Howard Thurman
How it Works
Vocational Assessments include a range of psychometric tests plus several 1:1 sessions where we explore your options together. My recommended Vocational Assessment package is outlined below, and can be modified to include additional consults or 1:1 sessions with parents. This package is priced at $1500:
1. Consultation
We will meet for a 60 min consult to discuss your goals, interests, and how school/uni/work is going. During this consult we will discuss the assessments you will complete to help us find your fit. Parents are welcome to attend part of this session with their Year 10-12 children, or to book a separate session if they would like to discuss their child's future in more detail.
2. Assessments
You will receive links to complete your assessments, which include tests measuring your aptitude, personality, and vocational preferences. You will complete these online before our next session together.
3. Feedback & Coaching
After I have reviewed your results, will meet again for a 90 min consult to discuss the results of your assessments and help you make sense of these and how you might go forward. After this session you will receive a report with your results and a summary of our discussion and recommendations. Parents are welcome to attend part of this consult or arrange a separate consult.
4. Follow Up (Optional add-on)
We will meet again for a 45 min follow-up to see how you are progressing and discuss how you're feeling about next steps.
